Donations

Volunteers For Animals is always in need of monetary donations for the animals at the Genesee County Animal Shelter. Our largest expense is veterinary care for sick and injured animals but more importantly to spay and neuter as many animals as possible BEFORE they leave the Shelter. Spaying and neutering animals before they leave the Shelter is the ONLY way to reduce the number of homeless animals. In addition to vet care, we also purchase FIV/FeLV tests for cats, Advantage and deworming medications for cats and dogs. Please consider making a donation today.

JUST TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR ANIMALS AND THEY WILL DO THE REST! ALL THE MONEY COLLECTED FROM THE DEPOSITS WILL GO TOWARDS HELPING THE ANIMALS AT THE GENESEE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER.

POST FOR THE PAWS

THE PURPOSE OF POST FOR THE PAWS IS TO FEATURE THE ANIMALS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THE GENESEE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. EACH WEEK A CAT AND A DOG ARE FEATURED IN A POSTER THAT IS E-MAILED OUT TO EVERYONE ON THE E-MAIL LIST. RECIPIENTS ARE ASKED TO PRINT OUT AT LEAST ONE COPY OF THE POSTER AND CHOOSE A PUBLIC PLACE TO POST IT EACH WEEK. WITH MINIMAL EFFORT WE CAN HELP RAISE THE PROFILE OF THE SHELTER.
